Touches of red in interior design go a long way, when used in small quantities. In feng shui red in interior design signifies richness and luxury.;

Red is bold and beautiful.

Red is highly visible and often indicates danger. It is also the colour of importance – the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs.

Touches of red in interior design

Not all reds are the same either. There the ‘hot’ reds, ‘warm reds’ and the cool ‘reds’.

Hot reds

A hot geranium red is a great colour to cheer up your kitchen.

Hot red looks very striking with white and is great colour for a celebration.

Warm reds

Nature provides us with such beautiful red colours. . . . Warm reds also include the dusky colour of a red tomato.

Scarlet red is the most insistent of all colours.

If you are adventurous there are a few colour combinations that compliment warm reds.

· A combination of warm reds and oranges also add pizzazz to a cool colour scheme.

Cool reds

Touches of Red in Interior Design

Generally, each chicken needs 4-5 quare feet inside the coop for optimal health, egg production and individual space. Predators can attack your chickens from sky, ground and under ground.

As a business consultant for the industry, I constantly witness designers, vendors, showrooms and even design centers thinking technology is just a tool that enables them to type, search and email.

who has time?

Social Media is not only a valuable tool, most of it is FREE advertising!

Does the Interior Design Industry REALLY Need Social Media?

Stylish table lamps are the key to a well furnished room and a major key to the stylish table lamp is the Chinoiserie style, a French term, pronounced “shin-wahz-ree” signifying “Chinese-esque” or “anything reflecting Chinese culture: Chinese artifacts, designs, artistic styles, behavior”.

For a classic or eclectic interior, fine antique table lamps of Chinoiserie style will quickly “pull the look together”, adding interest and an overall sense of high style.

The elements of design include space, line, form, color, and texture. The principles of design are balance, emphasis, rhythm, proportion and scale, and harmony and unity.

Principle #1: Balance

Visual equilibrium in a room is called balance. Balance also refers to how and where you place the elements (line, form, color and texture) within a room. To maintain balance, try to distribute the elements throughout the room.

o Informal balance uses different objects of the same visual weight to create equilibrium in a room.

Principle #2: Emphasis

Emphasis is the focal point of the room.

Principle #3: Rhythm

Rhythm is created through repetition of line, form, color or texture.

Size relationships in a room are defined by proportion and scale.

Principle #5: Harmony and Unity

A well-designed room is a unified whole that encompasses all the other elements and principles of design. The ultimate goal of decorating is to create a room with unity and harmony and a sense of rhythm.

There is no one size fits all paint.

If you want a room to be full of energy, then pick a paint colour that shows that. You need timbre paint at a right price.
